1. Name: Jarrod MacKay
2. Sign: Gemini
3. Where were you born?: Bryan, TX
4. When did you start playing?: Piano when I was 13, which didn’t last long. Guitar when I was 16.
5. The first concert you attended: Sadly, I think it was the H.O.R.D.E. festival in 1996 where I saw Blues Traveler, Lenny Kravitz, Dave Matthews, and Rusted Root.
6. Favorite bands: All time - Led Zeppelin, but my current faves are Dredg, The Pale Pacific, ENIAC, and Death Cab for Cutie. Can’t forget Ani DiFranco and Nick Drake.
7. Do you have any hidden talents?: I can spin my forefinger more than ninety degrees along its axis, and I can blow air out of my tear ducts.
8. Favorite phrase: Does the “F” word count as a phrase? If not, then maybe ricockulous as in “That’s ricockulous.”
9. Top five books read in one sitting: “A Clockwork Orange” - Anthony Burgess, “Johnny Got His Gun” - Dalton Trumbo, “Acting in Film” - Michael Caine, “Going After Cacciato” - Tim O’Brien, and “Have Space-Suit Will Travel” - Robert A. Heinlein.
10. Three things about you no one knows: 1) I sometimes drink beverages in the shower. 2) I know it’s gross, but I really love the smell of skunk. I can’t explain it, I’ve just always enjoyed the muskiness. 3) I used to have OCD pretty bad, but I got over it. At least I don’t have to say everything three times anymore. At least I don’t have to say everything three times anymore. At least I don’t have to say everything three times anymore.

17. Top five albums for a road trip:
“Graceland” - Paul Simon… An incredibly solid album featuring Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
“III” - Led Zeppelin… When this album came out, critics said it would kill rock and roll.
“The Best of Randy Newman” - Randy Newman… Possibly America’s best songwriter.
“El Cielo” - Dredg… A great album made better when you have the time to listen to it straight through.
“Easy Rider” Soundtrack… A road movie with a bunch of great driving tunes.
18. Other than Rock Star, what would be your chosen profession?: Screenwriter, which was my focus in college, or Professional Wrestler.
19. If you had to assassinate one famous person who is alive right now, who would it be and how would you do it?: Off the top of my head, I’d probably have to choose Britney Spears. How is everyone still so interested in hearing about her? She hasn’t put out an album in years. And she couldn’t sing in the first place. The only thing she had going was that she was hot, and now that’s even faded. How would I do it? Take away her health insurance and let her infectious cess-pool of a husband do the killing for me.
