Read Along Adventures

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

Here’s a site that is sure to become a rich source of material for amateur DJs worldwide. It’s also a great way to kill an afternoon. The folks at Read-Along Adventures are trying to compile a complete list of read-along adventure books and audio tracks. They then combine them into awesome Flash .exe’s. Just click on the Flash column for each book they’ve completed, and you can have fun turning the pages and reading along just like when you were six!

You can also go straight to their downloads page.

Seeing that I could download “Back to the Future” nearly made me wet myself with joy.

PLEK

Friday, January 29th, 2010

I recently heard about this new invention called a PLEK. It takes a guitar and automagically fine tunes it to perfection. It’s a machine that takes the human error out of guitar setup. Costs $225 to have it done but apparently it’s absolutely amazing. Check it out: http://www.plek.com/

stickers for your guitar

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

I was shopping around for a new neck for my precision bass and I thought the ones with inlays look kind of cool but they are very expensive. By inlay i mean like this:
inaly

Then I found this Japanese company that makes stickers to fake the inlay look at inlaysticker.com Neat!

Check out the results…

Weird Rice Packaging

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

I bought some delicious Goya brand mexican rice and began to make it. On the side of the box there was a press in tab to pour the rice out…

Photobucket

Not thinking about it I tore open the top of the box and found the rice inside was in a separate envelope.

Photobucket

What might I have thought if I had punched the tab and nothing had come out? Marvel of modern packaging.
