The last few days I’ve been obsessed with this song. It’s called Air Control Remote Control by the Japanese Garage Pop band TsuShiMaMiRe. The band name is a made up word created by mixing various parts of the member’s names. Mamire, however, is a word meaning “mixed together” so it makes bizarre sense.

Anyway, this song is amazing. Imagine mixing Punk and Math Rock and then splashing some awesome vocal harmonies over the top. It’s the kind of song that makes me mad because it’s so good. It might even make my top ten of songs I wished I’d written, but then again, maybe I’m just in lust with it at the moment. Anyway, here’s the video of the song and I’ll also throw some links on the bottom to the band’s Myspace page and an interesting interview with the band. Even better… I’m seeing them tomorrow live.
